Rockstar's $400 GTA 6 collector's box doesn't include GTA 6
Rockstar is selling a $399.99 collector's box for GTA 6 that contains no copy of the game—not a disc, not a digital code. To play GTA 6 on launch day, buyers will need to spend another $79.99 for the Standard Edition or $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition on top of the box price, per Variety. That's a sharp break from how Rockstar handled GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which bundled the game into their collector's editions.
The box
The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection goes up for pre-order now and ships on November 19, 2026—the same day GTA 6 launches. Stock is limited to one per customer, sold exclusively through the Rockstar Games Store. In the US it's $399.99; in the UK it's £349.99.
For that price, Vice reports you get 11 items themed around Vice City, the state of Leonida, and the in-game TV shows Rockstar is known for stuffing into its open worlds:

Rockstar describes this as only the first wave of GTA 6 merchandise, with more clothing and collectibles to follow.
Availability and what's missing
The first wave covers the US and UK only. Regional pre-orders for Asia, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand will be announced later—and Europe hasn't been mentioned at all yet. Licensing agreements for the Oakley and New Era branded items may complicate international distribution.
It's also worth noting that even the standard physical copy of GTA 6 ships as a code-in-box with no disc. So at every price point, buyers are getting less physical product than they might expect.
Rockstar has been building momentum around the November 19 release date: last week it announced GTA VI: The Album — 34 tracks available on CD, vinyl, and streaming. Meanwhile, GTA VI multiplayer won't arrive until 2027, and GTA Online isn't going anywhere, meaning the $100 Ultimate Edition at launch is single-player only.
Whether the collector's box is worth nearly $500 all-in depends entirely on how much you want a pair of branded Oakleys and a gator figurine with a secret compartment.
