Oppo Find X10 Pro Max hands-on: three 200MP cameras and a 200x zoom
No phone has shipped with three 200MP rear cameras before, and Oppo's Find X10 Pro Max is the first to try. Chinese tech outlet ITHome published a detailed real-world camera test of the device, which went on sale in China in late September starting at CNY 6,799 (~$1,015). A global rollout — including the UK — is set for late October, per Gagadget.
The main sensor
The primary camera uses a large 1/1.3-inch sensor behind an f/1.5 lens, with CIPA 6.5-stop optical image stabilisation. Oppo's new DeepPix processing system claims up to 17 stops of dynamic range — meaning the phone can pull detail from extreme shadows and blown-out highlights in the same frame. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max keeps full-resolution 200MP files rather than downsampling at capture, so you can crop hard in post and still have usable pixels — something Apple's 12MP zoom output on the iPhone 18 Pro Max doesn't offer in the same way.
Periscope and ultrawide
The second 200MP module is a periscope telephoto: a 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/2.1 aperture, 70mm equivalent focal length, and a beefier CIPA 7.5-stop stabilisation system. The third module is a 200MP ultrawide with a 124-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture. A second-generation Danxia colour sensor ties all three together, boosting light sensitivity by 43% and keeping colour accuracy consistent across the trio.
Zoom and Hasselblad
Oppo and Hasselblad extended their partnership in 2025, and the Find X10 Pro Max carries Hasselblad's colour science and a dedicated Ultra Clear mode. In standard configuration, digital zoom goes up to 120x. Real-world tests show detail holds well at 6x and 10x, and subjects remain identifiable at 30x and 60x — a meaningful step beyond what most phones manage.
For more reach, there's an optional Hasselblad teleconverter kit that clips onto the telephoto via a dedicated adapter. It bumps optical zoom to a true 10x and offers a 20x "lossless" mode. Maximum digital zoom hits 200x with the kit attached, though at that extreme, algorithm artifacts are visible.
LUMO AI
The software side adds Oppo's LUMO system, which lets you adjust portrait backgrounds independently from the subject — 18 presets are included. A companion LUMO Inspiration Composition feature uses AI trained on 200 million pose examples and three million tourist locations to suggest framing in real time.
Availability and price
In the UK, Oppo is running an early-bird deposit scheme: a £49 deposit secures a £200 discount plus a free Hasselblad teleconverter kit or a Watch X3, reports Tech Advisor. Full retail is expected to land above £1,000. US pricing and carrier availability have not been announced — Oppo's US retail footprint is limited, so direct-to-consumer sales seem most likely. Independent head-to-head testing against the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra's computational photography systems is still to come.
